The Thai Baht is the currency of Thailand. Bank notes come in 10, 20, 50, 100, 500, and 1,000 Baht denominations. Coins include 1, 2, 5 and 10 Baht coins and 25 and 50 satang coin pieces. One hundred Satang are equal to one Baht.

The Baht has been hovering around 40 to the U.S. Dollar. Major currencies are easily exchanged; ATMs are everywhere in the cities and credit cards are accepted in the larger stores. Don't even think about cashing a check!
