Ivy Tanvishut had the surgery June 28, 2004. In November 2004 she wrote us: "I've lost 61 pounds so far! I can't tell you how thrilled I am with the results. I keep comparing myself to photos taken of my back in April and it's such a tremendous difference. I've recommended to so many to go to you all for the surgery. I'm so happy I had it done at LBS International. Even if the costs had been equal, I feel like the care and attention given to us absolutely "outweighed" how my procedure would've been handled here (in the United States where patients are sent home at latest by the 3rd day to make room for more patients)." You'll hear from me again soon!" Ivy during her Christmas 2004 Holiday Until April 2005 Ivy had lost 86 lbs... In July 2006, Ivy wrote: "Having the surgery has given me a new lease on life.  In August I'll be 30 years of age but I feel and look younger than I did at 25 years!  It has been 2 years since my June 28, 2004 surgery and I feels like it was so much longer ago.  My life has sped up since then and I feel as though I have accomplished so much in that time."
