Another Successful Robotic Assisted Laparoscopic Gastric Bypass Surgery at Piyavate Hospital


Bangkok April 8, 2004

Mr. Dale McClure, a 54 year-old social worker from Ohio, USA, recently checked in at Piyavate Hospital’s new Bariatric Center. The next day the Center’s surgeon performed another successful gastric bypass surgery in the only dedicated endosuite in Thailand.

48 hours later Mr. McClure left the hospital, feeling great, and continued on his vacation in Thailand with his family.




December 2004: Dale McClure now weighs 209 lbs. Congratulations, Dale! He is the first LBS Thailand patient to lose over 100 lbs and that IN ONLY 9 MONTHS.

On Monday, January 19, 2004 Shedell Hubbard flew from California, USA to Piyavate Hospital in Bangkok, Thailand for the first Robotic Assisted Laparoscopic Gastric Bypass ever performed in Asia.

The surgical specialists of LBS International at Piyavate Hospital, using the first dedicated EndoSuite in Thailand, completed the procedure in only one hour and twenty minutes.

Shedell was out  of bed the same day. On the third post-operative day she toured Bangkok and went shopping. On Saturday, January 24, 2004 she boarded a Thai Airways flight and returned to California - feeling great, ready to start her new life.
